WHO IS GWSC FOR?

GWSC is designed for Incoming 9th Grade students  through outgoing 12th Grade students.

WHAT DOES THE COST OF GWSC INCLUDE?

The cost per student is determined by which registration option is available at the time of purchase. All registration options includes:

Admission to all sessions

Lunch & Dinner for Thursday & Friday at GWSC

UG GWSC T-Shirt** (limited to availability after Early Bird Registration)

DO WE HAVE TO PAY THE FULL PRICE TO REGISTER?

Yes. All Registration payments are non-refundable upon purchase, yet fully transferable to a substitute registrant up to and including the day(s) of the event.

WHERE WILL THE GWSC TAKE PLACE?

GWSC will take place at Gateway Church - Southlake Campus

WHERE WILL I  STAY?

This will be a day event. We will be taking students to and from Conference daily.

HOW WILL SUPERVISION BE PLANNED?

Supervision will consist of a 1 chaperone to 8 student ratio. 

WHAT WILL A TYPICAL DAY AT GWSC BE LIKE?

A typical day at GWSC will include Main Sessions (which are worship service moments with Worship Music, Sermons, Prayer Time), Breakout Sessions time (which are small group moments where students get to choose specific topics they may like to attend to)

WHAT MEALS ARE INCLUDED FOR THURSDAY’S & FRIDAY'S LUNCH AND DINNER MEAL WRISTBAND?

Your registration covers lunch and dinner on Thursday & Friday. Some examples of meals we provided the past few years include BBQ sandwiches, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, cheeseburgers and turkey sandwiches (all meals came with chips and a drink). Although we can’t guarantee specific meals, for GWSC21 we expect to serve similar meals. 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

You should bring your Bible and money for meal purchases onsite or conference merchandise.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Casual attire is recommended. The auditorium is enclosed and air-conditioned. Because the temperatures may vary, we encourage wearing jeans and layered clothing. We suggest bringing a light jacket or hoodie. All of our activities will be indoors.

WILL THERE BE ANY EXTRA FEES?

The registration fee covers conference admission & Meals. You may also want to bring additional money to purchase conference merchandise.

ARE SEATS ASSIGNED?

We will have assigned seats for our group to help us keep our students safe.

CAN I (PARENT OR GUARDIAN OF ATTENDEE) COME INSIDE THE BUILDING?

Due to safety concerns we do not allow adults into the building that is not a registered Gateway Student Conference volunteer or staff member. We require every adult working conference to have a background check. This is the best way for us to ensure your student is safe. Thank you for understanding.

DO I NEED TO ARRANGE FOR MY OWN TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM GWSC?

Students will be transported to and from GWSC and the Arlington Church.

WHAT WILL BE COVID-19 MEASURES?

This would usually be paired with our overnight summer spiritual retreat but due to safety measures we have decided to skip camp this year. Per church board policy masks are recommended but not required.  Inside conference, there are no specific regulations besides the ones listed above. We will encourage all students to wash hands and practice hygiene measures.
